Dr. Montgomery, a native of Amarillo, Texas, has practiced in Houston since completing her training at the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Montgomery holds the level of Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist licensure granted by the Texas Optometry Board. Dr. Montgomery is a member and fellow of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control.
Prior to establishing Enclave Vision Associates, Dr. Montgomery managed complete care for under-privileged patients with a concentration in glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and cataract co-management. Dr. Montgomery specializes in the treatment of anterior segment disease, such as dry eyes, and is sensitive to the condition being a dry eye sufferer herself. Dr. Montgomery specializes in the fitting of specialty contact lenses including multifocal, myopia control, gas permeable, keratoconic and scleral lenses. Dr. Montgomery being highly nearsighted (myopic) herself, a condition she inherited from her father, is passionate about the control of myopia. Dr. Montgomery is certified in fitting orthokeratology lenses in both children and adults and has extensive experience and knowledge in myopia management. Dr. Montgomery is also passionate about the role of nutrition and how it relates to the treatment of common eye diseases like dry eyes and macular degeneration.
Her professional involvement includes membership in the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association and American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control. In her leisure time, Dr. Montgomery enjoys pool time, traveling and being a foodie. Her husband, a life-long Astros fan, and two small children keep her on her toes!
